On October 9, reporters gathered insights from the Daluo Exit and Entry Border Inspection Station, revealing that this year’s National Day holiday saw a significant surge in travelers at the Daluo port on the China-Myanmar border. The port welcomed 30,600 visitors, reflecting an impressive 40.49% increase compared to last year.
Located in Menghai County, Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture in Yunnan Province, Daluo port plays a critical role as an overland gateway between China and Southeast Asia. Notably, the port has experienced consistent growth throughout the year, with the number of travelers exceeding one million by August 18.
According to the Daluo Border Inspection Station’s data, the port facilitated 8,600 entries and exits by various transportation vehicles during the National Day holiday, marking a 3.9% increase from the previous year. The primary reasons for travel during this busy period were family reunions and celebrations. On October 3, the port recorded its highest single-day traffic, with over 4,700 travelers crossing the border.
To manage the influx of travelers efficiently during the holiday rush, the Daluo Border Inspection Station proactively anticipated peak traffic periods and promptly provided updates. They made timely adjustments to their operations, offering continuous support for passenger guidance, inquiries, and complaint resolution, thereby ensuring a smoother crossing experience for everyone.
