On October 18, the highly anticipated family drama “Six Sisters,” directed by Lou Jian and written by Yi Bei, was unveiled with a new trailer and poster. Starring Mei Ting and Lu Yi, along with special appearances by Wu Junmei, Xi Meijuan, Liu Jun, and Wu Qian, the series promises to explore deep family emotions against a real-world backdrop.
Set in the small town of Huainan, Anhui Province, the story spans from the 1960s to the early 2000s. It follows the He family’s matriarch and her six daughters as they navigate the joys and sorrows of life over five decades. The narrative highlights the shifts experienced by ordinary families, focusing on three generations and exploring the complexities of familial bonds, as well as the unique stories of individual family members.

In one poignant moment, He Wenshi, portrayed by Xi Meijuan, reflects on how quickly time passes, revealing glimpses of the vibrant lives within the He family.
