On October 24, the 33rd World Hakka Convention kicked off in Luoyang, themed “Rooted in Hakka Heritage: A Shared Brilliance Along the Luo River.” The event warmly welcomes Hakka friends from around the world to reconnect with their roots.

To encourage more participation from the Hakka community, Tencent QQ Browser has launched the “World Hakka Convention Torch Check-in Map” along with an online check-in event for those unable to attend in person. Hakka individuals can engage in this virtual reunion with Luoyang through three different methods.

The first option is to search for “Hakka Homecoming” within the QQ Browser app, leading users directly to the Hakka Convention’s dedicated check-in map. By clicking on the torches held by the event mascots, Hehe and Lele, participants can complete their online check-in.

The second option allows users to search for “World Hakka Convention Opening Ceremony” in the QQ Browser app. While booking a live stream of the opening ceremony, they can simply click the “check-in home” button located at the bottom of the live stream room for their online check-in.

The third option involves searching for “Where to Go in Luoyang” in the QQ Browser app to discover three torch relay points of this year’s convention: Dagu Pass, Yique Pass, and YingTian Gate. Global attendees can join the virtual journey alongside the torchbearers, lighting up each relay station as they complete their online check-in.

Since its launch in March this year, QQ Browser’s travel feature has introduced dedicated pages for 48 popular cities across the nation, showcasing a total of 300 quality travel routes and covering 2,289 attractions. As of August, over 20 million users have employed QQ Browser to explore and plan travel destinations and routes, resulting in over 600,000 offline travelers.
