On October 17th, a significant online promotional launch titled “Shining on the Long March Road, Advancing into a New Journey – The Red Ribbon on Earth” was held at the Red Ribbon Venue in the Guizhou Long March Cultural Digital Art Museum. This event was guided by the Internet Communication Bureau of the Central Cyberspace Administration of China and hosted by the Guizhou Provincial Internet Information Office.
Lu Yongzheng, a member of the Guizhou Provincial Standing Committee and the Minister of the Provincial Publicity Department, delivered a speech at the event, which was also attended by Ge Sangda Wa, the Deputy Director of the Internet Communication Bureau.
Following the launch ceremony, media reporters and online influencers will visit various locations in Guizhou, including Liping and Chishui. They will also view the performance of “The Great Turning Point” in Zunyi, using their platforms to help members of the community—especially young people—grasp the heroic struggles and the glorious hardships of the Long March.
In conjunction with this event, an online thematic promotion will connect key local media along the Long March route in provinces like Jiangxi, Hunan, Guangxi, Chongqing, Sichuan, Yunnan, Shaanxi, and Gansu. This will involve organized promotions according to historical milestones of the Long March, featuring special columns and topics. A series of themed short plays and videos such as “My Long March,” “The Zunyi Meeting from a 90s Perspective,” and “Listening to Stories of the Long March” will be created to gather and showcase netizens’ interpretations of the spirit of the Long March and the spirit of the Zunyi Conference, facilitating effective online and offline interactions.
The event also included the release of the micro-drama “The Red Ribbon on Earth: My Long March.” This short cultural drama, which consists of 10 episodes, spotlights symbols from the Long March such as the “Zunyi Meeting” and “Crossing the Chishui River Four Times,” and was developed by the all-media news center of Guizhou Radio and Television Station.
