On October 15, an event titled “Cultural Heritage Exchange and China-France ‘Tea and Wine Dialogue'” took place in Paris, hosted by the People’s Government of Nanping City, Fujian Province, and organized by the People’s Government of Wuyishan City, with support from the Fujian Wuyishan Sancha Group Co., Ltd. and the China Tea Culture Center in Paris.
Several notable figures attended the event, including Chen Dong, Charge d’Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in France; Sébastien, the Minister of State and Special Advisor to the President on International Cooperation; French Senator Anglade; and Yuan Chaohong, Secretary of the Nanping Municipal Committee. Over a hundred guests from various French departments, local governments, associations, businesses, and representatives from Chinese enterprises in France were also present.
In his speech, Chen Dong praised the “Tea and Wine Dialogue,” emphasizing its role in enhancing cultural exchanges between China and France and fostering peace and development. Sébastien remarked that wine and tea not only symbolize the cultures of both nations but also serve as a bridge for their interactions, reflecting mutual respect for nature and the enduring friendship between them. Anglade noted that the “Tea and Wine Dialogue” is an effective avenue for cultural interaction and expressed hope for greater understanding of Chinese tea and culture.
Yuan Chaohong highlighted that the event, using tea and wine as mediums, witnessed a rich cultural heritage and promoted exchanges between civilizations, further solidifying China-France friendship. He expressed a desire to seize the opportunity presented by this year’s China-France Cultural Tourism Year to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of both nations, promote the “Sino-French Spirit,” and enhance local exchanges while deepening cooperation in economy, culture, tourism, and sister cities.
During the event, representatives from the International Wine Technology Association of France and the Wuyishan Taiwan Tea Exchange Association presented discussions on tea and wine. Participating companies engaged in dialogues and delivered speeches, unveiling co-branded tea and wine products and signing cooperation memorandums.
Additionally, the “Wuyishan Water” brand’s marketing center in France was officially inaugurated at the China Tea Culture Center in Paris, with delegation members from Nanping City, the China Tea Culture Center, and invited guests from both nations participating in the ceremony.
