On October 27, 2024, a series of health promotion events under the theme “Health China Tour and Health in the Eightæ¡‚” took place in Longzhou County, located in Guangxi’s Chongzuo City. The activities featured health-themed cultural performances, informative lectures, free medical consultations, health assessments, on-site health guidance, and home visits. These engagements were conducted both in-person and through live online streaming to ensure widespread participation. The program also catered to local health needs by promoting traditional Chinese medicine and encouraging health awareness among various segments of the community, including government offices, schools, businesses, and rural households.
During the cultural performances, participants from Guangxi People’s Hospital and Guangxi International Zhuang Medicine Hospital showcased a variety of artistic works. The programs included interactive quizzes about health literacy, presented in a way that was entertaining and easily understandable for the audience, thus effectively promoting health concepts and disease prevention.
Throughout the events, health experts visited key community locations such as Longzhou County Senior High School, the local tax bureau, and the Xinxiang Ecological Aluminum Company. These sessions, focusing on occupational health, mental health, and chronic disease prevention, aimed to empower residents to take responsibility for their own health and adopt healthier lifestyles.
Moreover, health professionals and organizations set up initiatives at historical sites like the Longzhou Uprising Square and in villages such as Guyang in Zhubu Township. Here, they conducted traditional Chinese medicine culture exchanges, offered free health consultations, distributed health education materials, and provided in-home health guidance to ensure high-quality care reaches the residents.
In addition, medical experts from local hospitals engaged in training sessions and case discussions, working to address clinical challenges together. An online training program conducted at the Shui Kou Town Central Health Center attracted over 16,000 healthcare professionals, significantly enhancing the skills and service levels in grassroots medical care.
