In a remarkable achievement, three students from Methodist Boys High School—Omamogho Ajufuntsi, Fahm Aremu, and Ogunsola Oladimeji—have been awarded the inaugural ‘Olabode Mubasheer Agusto Educational Grant.’

This educational grant, which spans three years from SS1 to SS3, was established to honor the legacy of Mr. Olabode Mubasheee Agusto, a distinguished alumnus of Methodist Boys High School and the founder of Agusto & Co.

In a statement during the launch, Mrs. Yinka Adelekan, Managing Director of Agusto & Co, expressed her sentiments about the significance of the occasion. “Today is a special day, just before the anniversary of Mr. Olabode Agusto’s passing. We created this educational grant in his name because of his unwavering commitment to education,” she explained.

Mrs. Adelekan emphasized Mr. Agusto’s belief in education as the cornerstone for societal change. “Bode Agusto understood that education is essential for transforming our society. Today, we return to his alma mater, acknowledging its vital role in shaping his journey.”

She further elaborated on the grant’s purpose, highlighting its focus on supporting students who, due to financial difficulties or family challenges, cannot continue their education at the school. “We are delighted to offer assistance to three deserving students today. We aim to provide them with the resources needed to complete their education here. This is just the beginning; over the next five years, we will sponsor the education of three students each year from SS1 to SS3.”

Dapo Fajemirokun, the Human Resources Business Partner at Agusto & Co, added, “This grant serves as a financial aid initiative created by Agusto & Co to support eligible students from Methodist Boys High School.”
